Hide AdThere were 579,638 cases in the week ending February 03, a 16% fall on the number seen the week before.
It is still nearly double the number of cases the UK saw in the last week of November, before the Omicron wave hit.
In Solihull, cases have fallen. There were 927 cases per 100,000 people the city in the week to 3 February, compared with 1144.4 cases in the week to January 27.

Shirley Heath has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 15.9% from 1025.9 cases per 100,000 people to 1188.7.
3. Central Solihull & Sharmans Cross
