Coronavirus case numbers are falling but remain high across the UK, official figures show.

There were 579,638 cases in the week ending February 03, a 16% fall on the number seen the week before.

It is still nearly double the number of cases the UK saw in the last week of November, before the Omicron wave hit.

In Solihull, cases have fallen. There were 927 cases per 100,000 people the city in the week to 3 February, compared with 1144.4 cases in the week to January 27.

Not all neighbourhoods in Solihull are seeing a drop in infection rates, but the majority are.

Only six neighbourhoods in the town have seen an increase in cases over the last week - you can see which ones below.

Biggest rise

Here are the six neighbourhoods in Solihull where Covid cases have increased in the past week.

1. Monkspath North

Monkspath North has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 26.1% from 766.2 cases per 100,000 people to 966.0.

2. Shirley Heath

Shirley Heath has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 15.9% from 1025.9 cases per 100,000 people to 1188.7.

3. Central Solihull & Sharmans Cross

Central Solihull & Sharmans Cross has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 15.4% from 1122.6 cases per 100,000 people to 1295.3.

4. Dorridge

Dorridge has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 5.8% from 1197.7 cases per 100,000 people to 1267.6.

5. Lyndon South

Lyndon South has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 2.4% from 1127.8 cases per 100,000 people to 1155.3.

6. Meriden, Hampton-in-Arden & Temple Balsall

Meriden, Hampton-in-Arden & Temple Balsall has seen case rates of positive Covid cases rise by 1.4% from 1008.7 cases per 100,000 people to 1022.4.

Fordbridge has seen case rates of positive Covid cases fall by 56.2% from 1396.7 cases per 100,000 people to 612.1.

2. Shirley East

Shirley East has seen case rates of positive Covid cases fall by 45.6% from 1504 cases per 100,000 people to 817.6.

3. Kingshurst

Kingshurst has seen case rates of positive Covid cases fall by 39.2% from 1102.8 cases per 100,000 people to 670.6.

4. Chelmsley Wood West
