The Black Country is home to some of the cosiest pubs in the region, perfect for a winter warmer on a cold evening.
Now that darker nights, colder temperatures and winter evenings are fast approaching many of us will be trading the beer garden for a cosy fire lit pub armed with the perfect winter warmer to sip on.
As someone from the Black Country, we really are spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs with the Office for National Statistics recording 125 open pubs and bars in Wolverhampton alone.
But where are the cosiest pubs in the Black Country and where should punters choose to enjoy their pints this winter? I’ve picked out some of my favourites:

The Last Jar is a Sandwell micro bar serving craft ale.
The building was previously home to a Barber shop but the bar took over in December 2024.
With its choice of stouts, such as caramel brownie, and its comfy sofas, the bar certainly earns the title of a cosy pub for this winter.
The Old Swan Inn, known as ‘Ma Pardoe's’ offers a cosy rear snug tucked away behind the main bar and maintains an authentic atmosphere without loud background music or fruit machines.
The pub gained its nickname from Doris "Ma" Pardoe, who ran the pub from the early 1930s.

The Old Bush Revived is a Black Country Ales pub with traditional decor, a real log fire, a dog friendly policy and an overall great atmosphere for a winter drink.
It also often features fan favourite ‘pig on the wall’ and ‘fireside’ alongside traditional cobs and scotch eggs.
The interior has a limited number of tables giving it a snug, cosy local-pub feel along with low ceilings and a rustic feel.
The pub offers a range drinks from Old Mout cider to HPA and Butty Bach.
