Man arrested in Clifton Waite Small Heath Waverley Road murder probe

Detectives seeking a man wanted on suspicion of the murder of Clifton Waite in Birmingham have made an arrest.

The 59-year-old was taken into custody on Friday afternoon (November 11), they said.

Mr Waite, aged 56, who was known as Colton, was fatally stabbed at an address in Waverley Road at around 9.50pm on Monday (7 November).

West Midlands Police said: “Specialist officers are supporting the wider family at this deeply distressing time, and we’re keeping them updated with the progress of our investigation.”

Det Insp Jim Colclough, from Force CID, added: "Our thoughts remain with the Waite family at this awful time. We’re not looking for anyone else as part of our investigation.”
