Every year, we try and be prepared for Christmas. Shopping done in November, turkey in the freezer, you can relax.

But, as much as we try to be organised for Christmas, it is inevitable that something will be forgotten, and it’s always something small like milk for the post dinner coffee or cranberry sauce for that one relative that can’t have dinner without it.

As we are slowly creeping towards Christmas, supermarket chains differ their hours to accommodate to the late Christmas shopping frenzy that usually occurs when Christmas is very close.

With that said, here’s all the major supermarkets, and when they’re open around the Christmas period.

Aldi

Aldi will open stores from 7am till 10pm from Monday 20th December to 23rd December.

Christmas Eve stores will be open from the usual 7am, but close earlier at 6pm to give staff the chance to spend the evening before Christmas not working.

Aldi is usually open from 8am - 10pm.

In a move that has been well recieved, Aldi will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
