Cannabis farm with street value of £1m found in Birmingham warehouse

Around 1,000 cannabis plants with a street value of almost £1 million have been seized from a warehouse by police in Birmingham.

The plants were found at an address in Lower Tower Street, Newtown. Officers from the Birmingham West Neighbourhood Taskforce Unit seized the plants after entering the property shortly before 9am on February 1, 2023.

West Midlands Police said: “When we entered we discovered around 1,000 plants located in nine rooms in the warehouse. No arrests have been made at this stage and officers are continuing to investigate.”
