Chocolate bosses are asking Brummies, and fans across the country, to submit their old Cadbury photos - like the one in this story - which can be featured in their ‘Your for 200 years’ advertising campaign.  Any photos from before the year 2000 with an identifiable Cadbury product in the shot, will be eligible to win a prize of £1,000.

Cadbury was founded back in 1824 by businessman John Cadbury on Bull Street in the city centre and has since grown to become a firm favourite.  From pioneering the popularity of the Easter Egg in 1875, through to launching Cadbury Dairy Milk in 1905, Cadbury has long been a part of Britain’s rich cultural history and is a taste we’ve all known and loved for generations.

With ‘Your Cadbury Memories’, Cadbury is hoping to help the nation unlock happy memories of special occasions like birthdays and seasonal moments such as Christmases and Easters, from years gone by.

As the chocolate-maker enters its third century, it’s keen to involve the whole of the UK in its birthday celebrations.  Commenting on the launch, Bryony Tate, brand manager at Mondelēz International, says: “Cadbury has long been intertwined with big celebrations in our lives. Most of us have eagerly unwrapped a Cadbury Selection Box on Christmas Day or treasured an Easter Egg found tucked away somewhere.
