Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are bringing their international tour to Birmingham’s Villa Park. The gig will take place on Friday, June 16.

The ‘I’m on Fire’ singer, who is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, will be making his return to Villa Park for the first time in 35 years after he played at the venue in June 1988.

Fans of The Boss are expected to travel from afar and wide to attend the Birmingham event. The show is set to last almost three hours with Bruce playing 28 of his best songs, and closing the show with a solo acoustic version of ‘I’ll See You In My Dreams’. Doors are set topen at 4pm at Villa Park, With Bruce expected to be on stage for 7pm.

Road Closures

A number of road closures around Villa Park will be in place for the concert. There are regular closures which are in place around Villa Park on match days will also be in place for the concert.

According to Transport for West Midlands, road closures will be implemented based on a match day traffic exclusion zone. This is imposed around Villa Park to exclude vehicles on Witton Lane from the junction with Aston Hall Road to the traffic island at Witton Road, and Trinity Road between Nelson Road and Witton Lane.

The two roads will be closed from 1pm on the day of the concert. Once the main concert has commenced it is anticipated that Witton Lane may be reopened whilst the concert is ongoing, closures will then be reimplemented for concert end. Road closures will be lifted as quickly as is possible when it is deemed safe to do so.
