Road closures: one for Sandwell drivers this week

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have a National Highways road closure to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have a National Highways road closure to watch out for this week.

And it is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 9pm June 26 to 6am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8 leading to a total closure M6 southbound, onto the M5 southbound, with a lane three closure where the M6 northbound, meets the M5 towards M5, junction 1, carriageway closures for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs on behalf of Kier.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
