Jack Grealish makes Roy Keane joke amid title celebrations following Aston Villa win

The boyhood Villan didn’t play any part of City’s 3-2 win over the claret & blue.

Jack Grealish was able to do the unthinkable and make Roy Keane smile amid Manchester City’s title celebrations on Sunday afternoon.

The boyhood Aston Villa fan, who played no part during the 3-2 win over his former club, was interviewed by Sky Sports pundits Jamie Redknapp, Micah Richards and Roy Keane following the game and joked that Keane would be coming out to get a little bit tipsy with him and Richards to celebrate.

“I’m worried about these two,” Redknapp said, alluding to Richards and Grealish before the latter chimed in with a “and Roy!”

It made the Irishman laugh which considering his surroundings was some achievement and Keane later had to concede that he would be the designated driver for the evening.

Was the move worth it for Grealish?

The Brummie winger took to Instagram with Premier League medal in hand a little later on with the caption ‘oofffft the first of many.’

Whilst he maybe right, the former Villan hasn’t played anywhere near as big of a part as he would have liked to this season and showed a dejected figure on the bench when Pep Guardiola looked to Ilkay Gudogan as his final substitution rather than him on Sunday afternoon.

He made just 31 starts in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing only four assists across those games.

But Keane added later on that he believes an improvement will be on the cards next season.

“I think he will be better next year,” he said.

“Jack is still learning... it does take time to adapt when you come to a bigger club.”

Not sure Villa fans will agree with the ‘bigger club’ part but each to their own.
