West Bromwich man John Barrett missing for four weeks - police appeal to help find him

John Barrett went missing from his home in West Bromwich on 29 May. West Midlands Police has renewed their appeals to find him.

Officers are particularly worried as John, aged 35, has type 1 diabetes - and it is feared that he does not have his medication with him and that his health could be at risk.

Police said they believe that John is in the Sandwell area - so they are especially appealing for help from local residents.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Lots of people have contacted us with potentially sightings of him, so we want to thank everyone who has got in touch. We have followed up these lines of enquiry, but unfortunately John has still not been found.

“John may have attended pharmacies to get his medication, so if you work in a pharmacy in the Sandwell area, we particularly ask you to keep an eye out for John.”

Police have described John as 5ft 9ins tall, with short brown hair. They said he was clean shaven when he went missing. He was last seen wearing white tracksuit bottoms, a black coat and blue trainers.

They added: “We also want to appeal directly to John, if you see this, your family just want to know you’re OK so please make contact with them, you are not in any trouble.”
