Fans screamed for Johnny Depp as he left a Birmingham hotel yesterday - where he had been staying during his tour appearances with Jeff Beck.

The actor - who has been spotted regularly across the UK following the conclusion of his high-profile US defamation trial - was seen outside the Grand Hotel.

Footage shows fans excitedly waiting for Depp, 58, to make an appearance and walk from the doors of the hotel to his coach.

After a few seconds he makes an appearance - and waves at eager supporters as he is escorted through the crowd.

Maintaining his signature look, he wore sunglasses and a plaid shirt with bracelets and his recognisable shoulder length tousled hair.

Andrew Hickin, 42, who caught the moment Depp appeared said: “I knew where he was staying and wanted to see what was going on.

“He looked just like you see in the films – he had his bandanas on and looked a bit like you see him in Pirates of the Caribbean.

“There must have been about a hundred people all waiting for him to come out – he stopped for the fans and looked happy.”

Over the weekend, Depp was spotted in chic Birmingham curry house Varanasi where he reportedly ran up a £50,000 bill with Beck, 77, and other friends.

Depp is joining English rocker Beck during the last few legs of his tour, with plans to release an album together also said to be in motion.
