A fantastic video of partygoers singing in the street in Birmingham city centre has gone viral after being shared across social media.

The heartwarming video was shared on Twitter on Saturday night (January 29) and shows crowds of people joining together outside New Street station to belt out hit songs including the Fugees classic Killing Me Softly, and Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You.

The tweet was shared by the account @LSwingz with the caption ‘Birmingham, what a city’, and so far has more than 2,200 retweets and more than 16,00 likes.

Luke’s video shows people having a good time after what’s been a difficult couple of years due to the pandemic, and people took to Twitter to praise those enjoying their night out together.

Replying to the tweet, one person wrote: ‘I’m feeling there is a sense of pride for Birmingham right now’.

Another wrote: ‘Young people having a good time, love to see it’.

Another replied: Best city in the country mate’.
