Man injured in road collision in Sutton Coldfield with Yamaha motorcycle and Toyota Auris car

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a crash on Whitehouse Common Road in Sutton Coldfield yesterday (14 June).

Officers were called around 11.20am to reports of a crash between a Yamaha motorcycle and Toyota Auris car. Following checks, the motorcycle was found to be stolen and has been seized by officers.

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his leg. A 24-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

Detective Sergeant Julie Lyman, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and urge anyone that could help to please get in touch.

“We would like to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have any dash cam or doorbell footage of the incident – or immediately beforehand – to help us understand exactly what has happened.”
