Four school children arrested for stealing a car in the West Midlands

Traffic Officers at West Midlands Police have arrested four children for stealing a car.

The officers made the arrests after attending reports of a burglary in Haleseown in the early hours of Saturday (June 17).

A car had been stolen which they later found abandoned nearby. When officers searched the area they found the four suspects - who were aged between 13 and 15 years old. Tools and gloves were also found at the scene. Police sent out a Tweet and with a shocked face emoji.

They said: “We attended a report of a burglary in the early hours where a car had been stolen from Halesowen & abandoned nearby. We conducted a search of the area & quickly found the offenders before all 4 were arrested. They were aged between 13 & 15 years old.”
