The Commonwealth Games’ Raging Bull - which has come to be known as the Brummie Bull as well - has found a forever home, and he is excited.

The mechanical bull debuted at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony and after giving a dazzling performance at the Opening Ceremony - it was kept in Victoria Square for a number of months afterwards. He was never lonely at the central location as more than four million people visited him there until September 2022.

He was removed from the location only to be placed in a car park in Ladywood since then. The Brummie Bull was never meant to be a permanent fixture for the city as it was created only for the Games.

However, Birmingham residents were not having it and they campaigned to give it refuge in this big, multicultural city. Having lost out on keeping King Kong in the city in the 1970s - they were prepared to rally harder for the Brummie Bull. And, they have won.

The poor bull - who has his own Twitter account - has been tweeting his thoughts from the start.

And, now that it was announced that he gets a permanent home in New Street Station, he is overjoyed. West Midlands Mayor Andy Street made the announcement today that the bull will be located at the station from the summer of 2023.
