A high street in Birmingham has been closed due to a murder investigation.
King’s Heath High Street is closed today (Wednesday, April 26) as police are dealing with an incident - which they have announced is a murder investigation.
A man was fatally stabbed in the area this morning. Police were called to teh High Street, near the junction with Queensbridge Road, just before 2.25am after a man suffered serious injuries.
Police said: “Despite the best efforts of emergency services he was confirmed dead at the scene.” A cordon has been put in place. and roads have been closed
Several bus services have been affected and commuters have been asked to take alternative routes. The road is closed between Queensbridge Road and Valentine Road, according to West Midlands Roads. WMR has advised people to consider taking alternative routes and allow extra time to travel.

Diamond buses have said the Birmingham 50 service will be on diversion via Addision Road, Brook Lane, Yardley Wood road and Wake green road and heavy congestion is expected.
National Express West Midlands said that due to the ongoing closure of Kings Heath High Street they are seeing delays to services in the area. This includes the 11A/C 35 50 & 76. They added: “Please allow more time if traveling in this area this morning.”
NXWM Services 35 & 50 are diverting both directions via Alcester Road, Addison Road, Brook Lane, Yardley Wood Road, Wake Green Road. West Midlands Police have been contacted for more information.
