Popular Jewellery Quarter bar The Button Factory has launched a new outdoor space - and it’s hosting a party to celebrate with BBC Radio 6 DJ Sam Redmore

The Button Factory in the Jewellery Quarter is preparing for a busy Summer with the launch of their stunning new 350 capacity, outdoor space called The Yard.

The Yard - which features a new retractable roof - will play host to a series of fantastic live music, DJ and food events. The fun starts when The Yard launches on Saturday, May 13 with live music from Radio 6’s very own, Sam Redmore and his sensational band, The Tropical Soundclash All-Stars - alongside guest DJs Anthony Duffy & Zuanella.

The event will also feature an open fire BBQ from street food legends Low ‘N’ Slow. Entry is free, but you’ll need a ticket which you can get below. Future events include Brunch Club, Selextorhood Festival on May 27 and a specially curated programme “Summer in the City” which launches from June 3, with each event focussing on a different city from around the world.

Situated in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, The Button Factory has restored and lovingly extended one of the district’s traditional heritage buildings with its new outdoor space, while remaining sympathetic to the original design.

It’s recommended for its welcoming environment, offering a perfect sanctuary all day long - from a coffee in the morning to a bottomless brunch on the weekend to late-night dinner and cocktails.

General manager Matt Coppell says ‘’We are so excited to finally get this space up and running to its full potential. Sam Redmore and the Tropical Soundclash will be kicking things off in style on May 13. We just can’t wait to have busy Summer and celebrate being such an exciting space in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter!’’

The Yard Launch Party kicks off at 6pm on Saturday May 13 with Sam Redmore’s Tropical Soundclash going live at 9pm and DJs playing throughout the evening until 11pm. Speaking of the launch party, Low ‘N’ Slow’s Andy Stubbs says: “For the launch I’m super excited to work with the team at the Button Factory and bring the new courtyard to life, with a special menu cooking whole lamb Al Asador.

“The menu will be served street food style with us returning to our roots, bringing in some friends and serving our amazing tacos. Keep your eyes peeled to the socials for the full menu.” Sign up for your free tickets to The Yard Launch Party on Saturday, May 13 here
