Man dies and another left critical following double stabbing at Birmingham house

Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a double stabbing at a house left one man dead and another fighting for his life.

Emergency services were called to a property on Cadbury Drive, in Castle Vale Birmingham at around 1pm this afternoon (Monday, March 13).

One man suffered stab wounds and died at the scene in the Castle Vale area of the city. Another man also suffered knife injuries and was taken to hospital where he is fighting for his life in a critical condition.

The offenders fled the scene in a car which was picked up and tracked by the police helicopter to Chatham Road in Northfield, Birmingham. Armed police swooped on the vehicle and arrested three people, two men and a woman, on suspicion of murder.

What has West Midlands Police said about the incident?

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Our investigation is in the early stages but initial indications suggest this was a targeted attack.

“We have already sealed off the scene for forensic examination and begun house to house and CCTV enquiries. Anyone with information should contact us via Live Chat on our website quoting log 1841 of 13/3.”
