Birmingham is the birthplace for what is arguably the world’s most iconic chocolate brand - Cadbury. A nation of sweet tooths, Britons are among the highest consumers of chocolate on the planet. Today I’m asking Brummies what their personal favourite chocolate bars are.
We’re spoiled for choice as it comes to different options but there are certainly a few bars that remain resounding favourites in the city. Many chocolate bars have come and gone though - so I also asked which ones they’d like to see make a come back.

Lita says: “You know, I like Star Bars, I like those. But then I do like, let me see… I like flakes very much. They’re an old school chocolate so I like those. Ripples I like. Star bars are my favourite.”
Lauren says: “Easy - Cadbury’s Buttons, Dairy Milk, or white chocolate. Easy, because you can share them. They fit in your mouth. You can put two together. It’s perfect. It’s the best chocolate there is. Yeah, and now we have to share them with the little one. But yeah, definitely buttons.“
Lita says: “Cadbury’s did a lovely little Wildlife selection pack of little animal bars and they were brilliant. I was a kid - I was about six. They should bring those back. Yeah, they were called Wildlife bars by Cadbury’s. And they were lovely.”
Lauren says: “I don’t remember any that don’t exist. I wish Freddos were still 10p! But no, I can’t think of any that don’t exist”
