Police are investigating after three people injured

Three people sustained knife injuries near homes in Erdington on Friday evening (March 4).

Police are investigating the incident which happened at around 6pm at Draycott Avenue.

They said a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have serious injuries. They were sent to hospital for surgery - and have been arrested.

A 20-year-old woman sustained superficial injuries to her hand.

What have police said about the incident?

Police said: “All three people are known to one another.

“We understand that another man was potentially involved, but he left in a taxi before emergency services arrived. We’re working hard to find him.

“A number of areas were taped off on Saturday as specialist officers look for evidence.
