Albert’s Schloss restaurant and ‘pleasure palace’ to open this autumn

What’s happening?

Albert’s Schloss, a Bavarian inspired bar, restaurant and entertainment venue is set to open in Birmingham in November.

The venue, a ‘Bohemian pleasure palace’ is 13,000 sq feet of bar, restaurant, tavern and theatre, and will house room for 500 customers.

‘The Cook Haus’ will serve up Bavarian-Alpine- food with Fondue and Schweinsaxe being stars of the show. An in-house bakery will produce artisan bread, pretzels, pastries and puddings alongside fresh daily roasted coffee.

The venue will also showcase some of the best Munich lagers such as Paulaner, Augustiner and Lowenbrau, and the cocktail list also takes influence from the Alps with Haus Schnapps made fresh on-site every week.

Where is it?

Further to opening the original Albert’s Schloss in Manchester six years ago, operators Mission Mars will open their second site in the heart of Paradise Forum at One Chamberlain Square, next to Dishoom.

The venue will operate over two floors with three bars (the largest of which is over 100 feet long), will be managed by a team of over 120 staff, and have a spacious outside terrace with a restored Citroen Van bier bar.

The venue’s very own ‘study’ that can host up to 30 people seated and 60 people standing will also be available for private hire, whilst a vermouth and Schnapps bar with shuffleboard and Ski Lodge board games can be found on the mezzanine.

Entertainment

‘Seven days of showtime’ means live music and lots of it. The venue will be home to over 100 freelance artists ‘serving up fun and flamboyant performances’ every night of the week.
