Man murdered in Handsworth, Birmingham

A murder investigation has been launched after a man, aged 41, was stabbed in Alexandra Road, in Handsworth just before 7.30pm on Sunday (18 September).

He was taken to hospital where he sadly died. A post mortem examination is due to be held later this week to establish exactly how he died.

No arrests have been made and following forensic examination, the cordon has now been lifted from the scene. West Midlands Police said his family are being supported by specially trained officers and we are continuing to speak to witnesses and explore CCTV.
