Legal & General sign investment deal with WMCA

West Midlands Mayor Andy Street and Legal & General CEO Sir Nigel Wilson have signed an agreement which will see Legal & General invest £4bn into the region. The landmark deal features a commitment to a seven year programme of Legal & General investment in housing, regeneration, transport and more.

Large investment into active transport in the West Midlands

The government has awarded Transport for West Midlands £17m to boost active travel and make it safer for people to cycle and walk. The money is being used to fund 12 schemes across the region including Selly Oak, Digbeth, Wednesbury and Solihull.

82 year old cyclist set to break records

An 82-year-old Gran from Birmingham is set to break a world record when she becomes the oldest ever woman to cycle the length of Great Britain. Gina Harris is riding from Land’s End, in Cornwall, to John O’Groats, in Scotland, over the space of 27 days to raise thousands of pounds for domestic abuse charities.
