And Birmingham Airport has admitted it has had issues with staff shortages. They have initiated a recruitment campaign and are currently training up new staff. There also many other vacancies you can still apply for, including a customer experience ambassador.

Al Titterington, Terminal Operations Director for Birmingham Airport, said: “The cause of the problem is this: having spent the past two years running at about 30% of pre-pandemic volumes, we reduced staff numbers accordingly. Now we have a sudden return of people wanting to fly but we don’t yet have the right numbers of security officers to check everyone through as quickly as we or they would like at peak times.”

The airport began a recruitment drive in November 2021. New security officers are expected to be on duty soon after completing training.

So with staffing issues still affecting the airport, we’ve had a look at the latest jobs on offer at Birmingham Airport if you fancy working at the UK’s seventh largest airport.
