Meet Birmingham’s 10 year-old Toy Tester Brooke Hadley Mitchell for The Entertainer

It’s a dream job for children across Birmingham.

And Brooke Hadley Mitchell is the lucky winner of a competition to become a ‘toy tester’ for The Entertainer.

The 10 year-old Brummie was one of 90 applicants to take up the role and she’s already undertaken her duties at the Bullring store - ensuring Father Christmas has all the inside knowledge on the best gifts for kids.

Brooke fulfilled her duties on Saturday, December 9, when she got hands-on, playing with an array of this year’s most popular toys during an out-of-hours, exclusive in-store experience. 

Brooke tested a selection of this year’s most sought-after toys, including the Nerf Elite 2.0 Double Punch Dart Blaster and Pets Alive Rainbow Bonnie the Booty Shakin’ Llama Electronic Pet, before giving her expert opinion to Santa himself via a special festive feedback form. 

Brooke’s opinions on the toys she tested are currently on the way to the North Pole to Santa, so he can make sure that the very best toys are delivered to children around the world on Christmas Eve. 

As well as winning the opportunity to become The Entertainer’s toy tester, Brooke received a £50 gift card to spend in-store or online and a goodie bag which featured some of the toys she tested and loved during the festive-filled experience.
