What is stalking?

As per charity, Safer Futures, stalking is a fixated or obsessive behaviour what is repeated, persistent, intrusive and causes fear of violence or engenders alarm and distress in the victim. It is one of the most common forms of abuse.

Anyone can be a victim of stalking and while many believe that it is done by random strangers, data suggests that almost 45% of people were stalked by former partners and another third were acquaintanted with their stalker.

What is a non-molestation order?

If you are a victim of domestic abuse and the person you want to be protected from (‘the respondent’) is someone you’re having or have had a relationship with, a family member, or someone you’re living or have lived with, you can seek an injunction.
