Rum fans will be thrilled to know that the beloved Birmingham Rum Festival is coming back to The Cuban Embassy, Moseley, this Summer. The festival, which is in its seventh year, will be a celebration of the best rums from around the world and give guests a chance to enjoy a unique and immersive experience at the city’s rum hub.

The festival will take place on Saturday, June 29 at The Cuban Embassy, St Mary’s Row and everyone who loves rum or wants to learn more about it is welcome to join a day of tasting and discovering different cultures. This year’s festival will feature a bigger and better lineup of famous rum brands, delicious cocktails, and live entertainment - a perfect event for anyone who loves rum and reggae!

Guests will be able to try a variety of premium rums from different parts of the world, from the Caribbean’s classic distilleries to the new and innovative producers, there’s a whole world of flavours to explore. Oualie, Wildjac, Wray & Nephew, Appleton, State of Rum, Aztec, Diplomatico and Cihuatan are some of the brands that will be present at this year’s festival.

The Cuban Embassy’s skilled bartenders will be mixing and making amazing rum cocktails, sharing their tips and tricks on how to create the best combinations and giving a free glass to all VIP ticket holders.

With live music and entertainment all day long, guests will have a blast experiencing the festive vibe that The Cuban Embassy is known for. Caribbean inspired street food will be served to go along with the rums, with the welcome drink provided by Burning Barn.

Anita Champaneri, festival organiser said: “We are excited to be bringing back Birmingham Rum Festival to the Cuban Embassy for the seventh year. The event will be a great way to kick start the summer with live music providing a carnival atmosphere and a fantastic line up of rums providing a taste of sunshine for those dreaming of warmer climes.”

How do I get tickets to Birmingham Rum Festival?

There will be two sessions for a taste of the tropical – afternoon tickets are from 12pm until 4pm and evening tickets are from 5pm until 9pm with early bird prices starting at just £17. Standard tickets are £20 and VIP tickets are £28 and VIP tickets at £28.

In addition to a welcome drink and rum sampling, VIP ticket holders will receive a street food meal and the opportunity to taste additional rare and exciting rums. To book tickets click here
