Six by Nico, the unique six-course tasting menu concept that sees the menu evolve every six weeks, has announced its second menu - and it’s inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

And this fairytale adventure at the plush restaurant on Colmore Row in Birmingham city centre includes a few ingredients that may surprise you. Founder and Chef Nico Simeone launched with a splash before Christmas, taking the city’s food scene by storm, with his amazing six course chippie tea - which included a deep fried mars bar, melt in your mouth steak pie, amazing pork belly smoked sausage, as well as fish and chips.

It was a remarkable treat - and all for £39. The next menu, which will be at the same price, launches on January 15 and runs until February 25 and it’s called the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

  • Course Two: The White Rabbit with rabbit, chicken and date ballotine, beef fat roasted carrot, tarragon pesto, rabbit bolognese and carrot ketchup.
  • Course Three: Paint The Roses Red with goats cheese mousseline, baby beetroot, garden radish, kalamata olive soil and red apple caramel.

‘One of my personal favourites’

Founder of Six by Nico and Chef, Nico Simeone, said, "When we first introduced the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in 2019, our aim was to transform the service experience and its interaction with the tasting menu. Although this menu hasn't returned since, it remains one of my personal favourites. We have refined the interactive elements of both the food and service to guarantee an unforgettable evening. We had a lot of fun with this menu, and I hope it showcases our cooking style and what we stand for here at Six by Nico!"
