Birmingham residents face disruption to water supply due to essential works

Birmingham residents may be facing interruptions to their water supply due to essential works.
Severn Trent Water issued a warning to residents in the B28 area at 9.33am today (October 16) stating that they may experience no supply, poor pressure or discoloured water due to the repairs taking place today.
The water supplier said that the “didn’t anticipate this affecting customers” but are now “aware that some customer’s supplies have now been impacted.”
It is estimated that works will be completed by 1pm.
A spokesperson for the water supplier added: “The team on site are committed to getting this resolved quickly and efficiently so the water supply is back to normal as soon as possible.”
