West Midlands Police has named a man suspected of a drive-by shooting in Quinton, Birmingham

Police have charged a man in connection with a drive-by shooting in Quinton, Birmingham.

Shots were fired towards a vehicle as it travelled along Quinton Road West on Sunday, September 10. Following the incident Chase McDowell, aged 27 from Bartley Green has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday morning (Thursday, October 12) and has been remanded to appear at Birmingham Crown Court at a later date.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’ve launched Operation Target to take a defiant stand against serious and organised crime offences – from drug dealing and burglary, to cyber-crime and fraud - as part of our ongoing work to catch offenders and keep you safe.”
