Birmingham driver reacts as police issue a parking ticket

West Midlands Police has posted this picture of a driver reacting to their officers after they issued a parking ticket in Birmingham.

Police in South Yardley say the driver was issued with the penalty for parking on the pavement. They added that there were nine tickets in the post for the motorist and highlighted that there was a car park nearby where the motorist could have left their car.

The incident comes as West Midlands Police step up their campaign against bad driving in the region by encouraging drivers to send them dashcam footage of any offences.

The force said that they had received 743 cases from road users in the last month - with 81% of these resulting in ‘positive outcomes’, which includes letters, education courses, fines and court appearances.
