How kind strangers helped a Birmingham mum when her son asked to go to the shop

Kind strangers, who were walking their dog, helped out a Birmingham mum when her child asked to go to the shop

Kind strangers came to the aid of a Birmingham mum on a walk with her toddler when she was in a bind.

Chloe Booton from Great Barr was walking with her two-year-old son when he asked to go the shop. However, the mum hadn’t brought her purse and told her son about it.

Unknown to her, a couple, who were walking their dog, overheard Chloe’s conversation with her son. The mum had passed them earlier and never imagined what they would do next.

Chloe wrote in a Facebook post: “A little while later the gentleman handed my son £2 and told him to go to the shop. There is still good in the world. Whoever you wonderful people are, thankyou, I appreciate your gesture so much, me and my son will pay it forward. It’s nice to be nice.”

The mum shared the incident in a Facebook post that was liked by more than a thousand people. Several people commented on her post about the positive gesture from the couple. One person wrote: “We hear so much bad news lovely to hear that small gesture what a nice thing to do.”

Another person said: “See them all the time, they are a lovely couple.” Yet another local resident said: “Its so lovely to have a positive and heart warming text on here. And what a lovely couple too.”
