West Midlands Police is asking for help to identify a man found dead in Highbury Park in Moseley, Birmingham

The body of a man, whose identity is currently unknown, has been discovered in Highbury Park in Moseley, Birmingham.

The discovery was made on Thursday, September 21 and police have been working with the coroner since then to establish his identity, so that they can inform his next of kin.

Police say the man was of slim build, six foot and one inch tall, and weighed around 10 stone. He had black hair and a black beard and is believed to have been in their 30s. They have released images of his belongings.

He was wearing black SoulCal trainers, size 9.5, a navy blue medium sized Bench T shirt and grey medium sized Drock jogging bottoms, pictured. Officers explained that the only possessions found in his pocket were a small amount of cash and a keyring with the words Hallo Jumbo, also pictured. He had no tattoos and no scars.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and despite extensive enquiries we have been unable to identify him or trace his next of kin.
