Birmingham man Kai Turner charged with Leicester stabbing

20-year-old Kai Turner has been charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Leicester city centre on Friday (27 January).

Kai Turner, 20, of Lee Bank Middleway, Birmingham, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

He has been remanded to custody and will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (30 January).

Police were called to the incident in Belgrave Gate just outside the city centre shortly before 9.45pm.

Leicestershire Police said a man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he currently remains. He is in a stable condition.
