Police said the man was riding his push bike the M6 south between junctions 7-6 near Birmingham while delivering takeaways

A food delivery rider has been arrested for immigration offences after being stopped late last night (Monday, October 9) for riding his push bike along the M6 southbound near Birmingham.

Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) said on X, formerly Twitter: “The motorway is no place for delivery riders it’s an offence and highly dangerous.”

Police added that the man was riding his push bike the M6 South between junctions 7-6 while delivering takeaways. CMPG also tagged Deliveroo in the tweet. West Midlands Police and Deliveroo have been contacted for further information.
