The fight to save St Paul’s Church, in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, is well and truly on.
Campaigners have set a 250 day deadline to raise the £660,000 needed for urgent roof repairs.
Their Raise the Roof appeal is rapidly gaining momentum, with posters now appearing around the city, Mayor Andy Street making a video appeal and fundraisers already being staged.

5. Largest rig of bells in the world
St Paul’s has one of the largest ring of bells in the world – 10 in total. A new ring of 10 bells was installed in 2005 to celebrate St Martin’s Guild of Church Bell Ringers’ 250th anniversary. | St Paul's Church

6. St Paul's Church's important stained glass windows
The church has two very important stained-glass windows. Francis Eginton made the East Window in 1791. The Millennium Window, designed by Rachel Thomas and commissioned by Birmingham’s Assay Office, depicts angels emptying liquid metal from a crucible. | St Paul's Church

7. A church & a cinema
In addition to being a place of worship and a concert hall, St Paul's church also acts as a cinema. It has been an important venue for those wanting to watch classic films. | Adobe

8. Historic burial grounds
