Gunman Ahmad Sharifi jailed after police executed a warrant in Ward End, Birmingham

A man has been jailed after police recovered a handgun and ammunition from an address in Birmingham.

Police acted on information and executed a warrant in Cotterills Lane, Ward End, on April 30 this year. Ahmad Sharifi was arrested from the address and charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition. The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for five years at Birmingham Crown Court last Monday (August 14).
