A man was charged after a teen was stabbed outside James Watt College in Great Barr on Wednesday last week (September 27).

The incident took place in Aldridge Road, Old Oscott, at around 2.25pm on Wednesday (September 27) and investigators continue to ask witnesses to come forward after a 16-year-old boy was discharged from hospital after treatment.

On Saturday (September 30), a 19-year-old from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of wounding. Following questioning, Vacoy Farrell has been charged with wounding and possessing a bladed weapon on educational premises. He was remanded in police custody and was due before Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday, October 2).

A 16-year-old, who was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of wounding, was released on bail with conditions. Investigators are continuing with enquiries as West Midlands Police work to establish exactly what happened.
