Here are the top 15 neighbourhoods where most fly-tipping was recorded in Birmingham between 2022 and 2023 - including Edgbaston
Birmingham has had a fly-tipping problem for some time with last year seeing record highs. The council had to pay £549,070 on removing large incidents of fly-tipping in Birmingham, according to Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) figures.
Previously, we took a look at the grottiest street in Birmingham and the country and it is near the Villa Park.
The Defra figures in 2022 revealed there were 23,153 fly-tipping incidents in the year to March 2022. So, we took a look at the figures between 2022 to the current year to see if the situation has changed. And, the answer is no.
A Freedom of Information request to the Birmingham City Council revealed that the top 15 fly-tipping hotspots alone account for 13,244 incidents. Here are the top 15 neighbourhoods where most fly-tipping was recorded in Birmingham:

1. Sparkbrook &Balsall Heath East
