A man has been arrested and charged with firearms offences in Birmingham.

Logan Turner, aged 28, is charged with two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life. He has also been charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of criminal property - a quantity of cash.

West Midlands Police gangs team carried out the arrest on November 27 after they conducted a firearms warrant at an address in Handsworth.

Turner was set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (November 28).

The arrest is part of West Midlands Police's Operation Target. Police says it sees them "taking a defiant stand against a range of serious and organised crime offences – from drug dealing and burglary to cyber crime and fraud."

West Midlands Police said: "Officers will be using local intelligence, seizing goods, carrying out warrants and targeting offenders as part of Op Target’s ongoing crackdown against serious and organised crime."
