After the amazing 10 days of Birmingham Festival 23, here are 24 photos showing us how it went

Birmingham Festival 23 was a success since it started on Friday July 2. The festival came to a close today (August 6) with the last performance starting from 5pm.

The last event was B: Music: NEXT TRACK - which saw former poet laureate Casey Bailey working alongside Musical Director, Ashley Allen, and a range of regional music, poetry and spoken word artists bringing Birmingham Festival 2023 to a close. Celebrating the city as it is now, where it came from and where it might be in future, this performance took audiences on a journey looking at acceptance, arrival and appreciation.

The free festival for celebrating the anniversary of the Commonwealth Games 2022 has showcased Birmingham’s talent, character and reputation as a diverse and international destination for major events. There have been several incredible performances from local and global artists and sadly, we will have to wait for next year for the festival’s return.

This weekend was the last weekend that the festival was on and it saw audiences of all backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities come together to have a good time at the free and family-friendly event.
