A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder

Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was found in a property on Doidge Road in Erdington, Birmingham yesterday (November 10).

Emergency services attended, but the man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 35-year-old man was arrested at the address after officers were called just after 1pm.

West Midlands Police said he remains in custody and will be questioned on suspicion of murder.

The property has been cordoned off to allow a forensic examination and police are speaking to other occupants at the address.

A force statement read: "Our investigation is in the early stages, and anyone with information should contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 quoting log 2018 of 10/11."
