A drug dealer suspect has been named by West Midlands Police after officers recovered £30,000 in Birmingham

West Midlands Police has charged a man after recovering a haul of up to £30,000 of Class A drugs and a large amount of cash in Birmingham.

Officers made the discovery at a property in Mayfield Road, Lozells, last Monday (July 10). Following further enquiries from the WMP Birmingham priority crime team - working alongside local CID officers - officers detained a 25-year-old man later in the week.

That man has been named by police as Mohammed Uddin. He has since been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, and he was remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Birmingham Crown Court on August 11.

It comes as WMP launched Operation Target which sees officers take a “defiant stand” against a range of serious and organised crime offences – from drug dealing and burglary, to cybercrime and fraud.
