Craft brewer unveils exciting Jewellery Quarter taproom plans with games area, theatre kitchen and live sport

The popular Indian Brewery which has won a raft of fans since opening in Snowhill in Birmingham city centre has announced exciting plans to expand with a new venue in the Jewellery Quarter.
The new venue will include a games area, theatre kitchen and live sports on a big screen - and it’s due to open in May - just in time for Euro 2024. And it’s creating 30 new jobs

Hide AdSituated on the corner of Mary Ann Street and Livery Street within an iconic building, the new location is set to highlight The Indian Brewery's commitment to the local community and its rich history.


“Phase 1 of the development will focus on making the brewery operational, ensuring the continued production of a diverse range of beers – from traditional to modern and vibrant beers – along with experimental, seasonal, and collaborative brews.” said Jay Purewal, Head Brewer and CEO.
In Phase 2, the brewery will introduce a unique taproom experience featuring an extensive number of beer taps, games area and theatre kitchen with live sports on the big screen.
This taproom will be distinct and separate from the existing Indian Brewery Snowhill location, known for its exceptional modern Indian street food. The new venue is set to combine craft beer with a delicious menu of innovative food, all made fresh on-site.

"Our expansion into the Jewellery Quarter marks a significant milestone for The Indian Brewery," said Jaspal. "We are excited to be part of such a historic and vibrant community, and we look forward to contributing to the city centre’s cultural and culinary tapestry for many years to come. In addition, we will be increasing employment within the local area, and we anticipate creating up to 30 new jobs."
The taproom will not only showcase a diverse range of craft beers but also offer a curated selection of natural, organic, and low-intervention wines. In addition to signature cocktails, patrons can explore the finest low/no-alcohol beverages, ensuring a comprehensive experience for all to enjoy.
