West Midlands Police said: "Fortunately none needed hospital treatment but these were frightening incidents which have been deeply upsetting. We won't tolerate such behaviour in our city and officers have been working to identify and trace those responsible."

West Midlands Police are appealing to help identify the men - one of whom is wearing a mask but members of the public may recognise their red coat or backpack.
