The Centenary Square Summer Series will offer Birmingham residents and visitors the opportunity to see high-profile bands and musicians in the heart of the city centre next summer.
Last week, we reported that Live Nation had submitted a planning application to host the four day music festival in Centenary Square. The plans have now been approved with the city centre festival taking place across the August bank holiday weekend this year (August 23-26).
Mirroring the fan-loved format of the Summer Series at London’s Somerset House and The Piece Hall in Yorkshire, Centenary Square Summer Series will be programmed by Metropolis Music & produced in partnership with Cuffe and Taylor. With ambitions to be "one of the greenest events on the summer calendar, the series will be powered solely by the national grid and be single use plastic free".
