The perfect event for cat lovers is set to take place in Birmingham this weekend.

A Birmingham Cat Extravaganza and Rescue Awareness event is taking place at the NEC on Saturday, December 2 and 3.

The event is held by the Loving Cats World Wide organisation and will feature the International Cat Competition in which you can see the most beautiful cats in the world strut the cat walk with an overall winner set to be crowned Best in Show on Sunday.

You will also be able to learn all about cats and get your own furry friend a gift from the amazing shopping village. Visitors will have plenty of opportunities to get up and close with their furry friends and will be able to learn more about the intelligent companion animals and what makes cat’s such amazing animals by observing one of the judging rings.

The event will also help to raise funds for local charities animal charities and The Meserve Foundation, a groundbreaking charity committed to making a lasting impact on the worldwide cat rescue population. They aim to drastically reduce the numbers in need and ensure a brighter future for all cats by addressing the cause of overpopulation, promoting responsible pet ownership.

Are tickets still available for the event?

The event will take place this weekend on Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3.

There are limited tickets remaining for the event. An adult ticket for both days costs £35, while an adult for only one day costs £20. Senior tickets and tickets for those aged 5-17 costs £25 for both days, and one day costs £15. The event is free for those under 5s.
