Teenager charged with murder of Kelvin Ward in Castle Bromwich

West Midlands Police has charged a 16-year-old boy over the murder of Kelvin Ward in Castle Bromwich.

The teenager was arrested in connection with the death of the 50-year-old in Chester Road on Tuesday evening (April 18).

The boy - who cannot be named due to his age - has now been charged with murder and violent disorder and has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A spokesperson for WMP added: “We’ve been granted a court extension to continue to question a 28-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday evening.
