Birmingham bus timetable changes announced for 15 routes across the West Midlands

Services across the city will be affected by timetable changes this week

National Express West Midlands has annouced it is making changes to a number of its bus timetables across Birmingham - but the company won’t be increasing ticket prices.

The company, which is tweaking timetables across the city from Sunday (June 26), said the changes will “improve service reliability across the bus network.”

Services affected by the changes include the 11A/11C, 33, 51, 94, 95, 907, 934, 935, 936, 937/937A, 997, X3, X4, X5 and X5 (see the routes in full below).

National Express West Midlands confirmed that there will be no changes to the bus fares alongside the changes to the timetables.

Which services are affected?

There will be timetable changes to the following services from Sunday (26 June):

  • 11A | Birmingham Outer Circle (Anticlockwise via via Erdington, Perry Barr, Bearwood, Harborne, Kings Heath & Acocks Green)
  • 11C | Birmingham Outer Circle (Clockwise via Kings Heath, Cotteridge, Harborne, Perry Barr, Erdington & Acocks Green
  • 33 | Birmingham - Pheasey (via Perry Barr & Kingstanding)
  • 51 | Birmingham - Walsall (via Great Barr & Perry Barr)
  • 94 | Birmingham - Chelmsley Wood (via Saltley, Washwood Heath, Ward End, Castle Bromwich & Smiths Wood)
  • 95 | Birmingham - Chelmsley Wood (via Saltley, Washwood Heath, Ward End, Hodge Hill, Shard End & Kingshurst)
  • 907 | Birmingham - Sutton Coldfield (via Perry Barr, College Road, New Oscott & Boldmere)
  • 934 | Birmingham - Walsall (via Perry Barr, Kingstanding & Pheasey)
  • 935 | Birmingham - Walsall (via Perry Barr, Kingstanding & Streetly)

Chris Gibbens, Commercial Director at National Express West Midlands, said: “We’re making some changes to several bus timetables across Birmingham and the Black Country to improve service reliability for our customers.

“So we’re reminding everybody to check the latest timetables before they travel.”“And while it seems like the price of everything is going up, here in the West Midlands there’s one thing that isn’t - our bus tickets.

“A National Express day saver still costs £4 - the same as it did in 2014.”

“If people haven’t used a bus in a while, we’d encourage them to give it a go and save themselves some money. Travelling by bus is a much cleaner, greener and cheaper way to get around - and we have a range of low-cost tickets to suit everybody’s needs.”
