A postcode in Solihull is the top burglary hotspot in the whole of the UK, according to new research.
The study analysed more than 7 million home insurance quotes from MoneySuperMarket Home Insurance customers to find the UK postcode areas with the highest rates of burglary claims since 2020.
Despite the fact that almost half of the Top 50 burglary hotspots are in London, the data shows that one Solihull postcode is the UK’s number one burglary hotspot with the highest amount of claims.
The Cambridgeshire postcode district of PE15 had the lowest burglary rate with just 0.28 for every 1,000 quotes.
Birmingham postcodes account for 16% of the UK’s burglary hotspots with six appearances in the top 50. This pales in comparison to London, which is home to almost half (45%) of our list with 23 postcodes.

With 57.83 claims for every 1,000 quotes since 2020, the Birmingham postcode of B94, covering Solihull areas such as Earlswood, Hockley Heath and parts of Olton is the West Midlands and the UK’s number one burglary hotspot
2. B24: Erdington and Tyburn - national rank: 9
The Birmingham postcode of B24 has 46.52 claims for every 1,000 quotes since 2020.
3. B13: Moseley and Billesley - national rank: 13
The Birmingham postcode of B13 has 44.20 claims for every 1,000 quotes since 2020.
4. B48: Alvechurch - national rank: 18
The Birmingham postcode of B48 has 40.59 claims for every 1,000 quotes since 2020.
